Frequently Asked Questions
What Can I Expect at our Initial Session?
After your initial enquiry our first consultation session will give us both a chance to meet up and get a sense of whether we are able to work together. Once I have asked you some background questions around your presenting issues, you will have a chance to ask me any questions or areas of concern surrounding our future sessions together.
What Happens after the Initial Session?
We can agree to meet on a weekly basis for a block of six individual 50 min sessions. I usually recommend two 50 min sessions back to back bi-monthly for Couples.
For those who have a busy schedule the days/times of these sessions are flexible. After the six weeks we can evaluate your current needs and agree to an extended time period thereafer.
Will My Sessions be held in Strictest Confidence?
As a practicing counselling psychotherapist I am committed to Continued Professional Development and attend regular Supervision. I follow the Code of Ethics as set out by the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association for Counselling Psychotherapy (BACP).
