Frequently Asked Questions



What Can I Expect at our Initial Session?

After your initial enquiry our first free 30 minute telephone consultation session will give us both the opportunity to get a sense of whether we are able to work together. Once I have asked you some background questions around your presenting issues, you will have a chance to ask me any questions or areas of concern surrounding our future sessions together.

What Happens after the Initial Session?

We can agree to meet on a weekly basis for an initial block of six individual or couple 50 min sessions with a view to ongoing sessions thereafter.

For those who have a busy schedule the days/times of these sessions are flexible. After the six weeks we can evaluate your current needs and agree to an extended time period thereafer.

Will My Sessions be held in Strictest Confidence?

As a practicing counselling psychotherapist I am committed to Continued Professional Development and attend regular Supervision. I follow the Code of Ethics as set out by the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association for Counselling Psychotherapy (BACP). All therapeutic sessions are held in strictest confidence.

Practice Times

Daytime:

Monday - Thursday: 10am-7pm

Friday: 10am-3pm

Skype, Zoom, FaceTime/WhatsApp Consultations

I am available to consult via Skype/Zoom//FaceTime/WhatsApp and Telephone

Face to Face

Parking: There are one hour parking bays on London Road or alternatively the Maltings car park is 8-10 minute walk from my private practice. Visitors Parking Permits can be provided in an emergency.

Once your booking has been confirmed I will send you an emailed or texted confirmation..

Fees

FREE 30 minute Telephone initial consultation

Face to Face: Individual sessions: £75.00 Couple sessions: £85.00
Online sessions: Individuals £65.00 Couples: £75.00

I ask my clients to pay their fees online 24 hours prior to session commencing. Alternatively, cash after session ends. Invoices can be provided upon request.

Cancellation Policy

Appointments are not refundable in any circumstances. If cancelled with more than 48 hours notice they may be rearranged at a mutually convenient time at no extra charge.
