Stress ManagementIt isn't always easy to identify when we are suffering from stress. Our symptoms may go unattended for some time. Stress raises your level of adrenaline, which results in an increase in heart rate, respiration, and blood pressure. These increases make bodily organs work harder. Over the long term, reducing stress is critical to combatting such illnesses as heart disease, high blood pressure, and stroke. I can help you to identify and explore the causes and symptoms of stress and find strategic ways of coping.
Anxiety & Panic AttacksAnxiety is the feeling of fear we all experience when faced with threatening or difficult situations. However, unfortunately for some daily stresses can manifest into panic attacks. Panic attacks can be extremely disabilating and need urgent treatment if the sufferer is to lead a healthy lifestyle, where underlying issues can be identified and are then fully resolved.
DepressionFeeling down from time to time is a normal part of life. But when sadness takes hold and won't go away, it may be depression. Some of the symptoms may include:-
Fatigue, low energy levels
Lack of hope for the future
Feeling a loss of control of one's life
Periodic binge or 'comfort' eating
Aches and pains, somatic symptoms, such as back pain that appear to have no physical cause
Irritability and outbursts of anger
Tearfulness
Waking early in the mornings, insomnia
Lack of confidence, feelings of low self worth
Unable to think clearly
The above list is not exhaustive but offers a broad outline to those who feel that they may be suffering from depression. My integrative approach has helped individuals to regain their self worth, confidence and ability to take back control of their lives.
